Educational Objectives:
- Provide a current review of new clinical information for management of Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Fibrillation related stoke.
- Provide a detailed presentation of the most recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation, as well as the prevention of Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Fibrillation related stroke.
- Describe current pharmacological therapy for the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation in patients of all ages; in the primary care setting, as well in the hospital setting.
Who Should Attend:
- Primary care physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Technicians, and anyone with an interest in cardiac arrhythmia's, Atrial Fibrillation, and stroke.
Statement of Need:
- The planning committee felt there is a strong need for this educational program based on the public health significance of Atrial Fibrillation.
Accreditation Statement:
- The activity has been planned and implemented by local education committee and meets the criteria for self-education, category II CME credits.
- All Attendees will be issued a certificate of attendance.
